Judith Musser Associate Professor of English and American Studies
Academic and Research Interests:
I have taught and conducted research overseas and will always welcome opportunities
to view America from both inside and outside the boundaries. Trained as
an Americanist, my doctoral studies focused on African American literature.
More recently, my interests have expanded to include other culturally and
ethnically diverse American writers.
Work in Progress: I am currently working on the publication
of a two-volume collection of short stories by African American women during
the Harlem Renaissance. In addition, two projects in progress include research
on Native American women's autobiographies and ethnic perspectives in contemporary
science fiction.
Publications:
Articles in The Midwest Quarterly, MELUS, Studies in Short Fiction, Literature,
Belief, and The Canadian Review of American Studies.
