La Salle’s mission is to ensure that your time spent at college is transformative but also safe. o Our Public Safety Department is committed to supporting that mission by providing safety services 24 hours a day, year-round. Creating a “culture of safety”, our primary goal, requires community involvement. We actively engage with our students, faculty and staff in creating and maintaining an environment where we can live, learn and work safely.
The Public Safety Department is responsible for protecting life and property, identifying and mitigating risks to safety, detecting crime, and responding to calls for assistance. We work closely with Residence Life and Community Development, the Philadelphia Police Department, and other La Salle and community resources to develop strategies to optimize safety and services.
Public Safety provides a number of services to support our community:

Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), La Salle publishes the annual report each Fall. The report includes statistics for certain campus crimes, alcohol and drug violations, and fire incidents for the preceding three calendar years, policy statements about crime reporting, access control, and emergency procedures, and prevention/response to sexual assault, domestic and dating violence, and stalking. La Salle publishes Timely Warnings and Safety Advisories when circumstances dictate under the guidelines set out in the Clery Act.
Sexual Violence and Title IX
Sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and sexual harassment are serious offenses that are prohibited by Title IX and that La Salle University will not tolerate. La Salle firmly believes in providing an academic environment that is inclusive, values diversity, and in which each of its community members is respected, and thus, is free from all forms of sexual misconduct. All members of the community are responsible for ensuring such an environment exists.
