Admission Requirements
Each applicant is considered on an individual basis according to the following requirements:
- Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) from a nationally accredited program-OR-
- Master’s degree, MBA or MHA from a nationally accredited program. These applicants should also hold a Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN), additional course work and clinical hours may apply
- Current unencumbered United States RN License and Advanced Practice license where appropriate
- Cumulative Master’s level GPA of a minimum 3.2 on a 4.0 scale; applicants with a GPA less than 3.2 may submit GRE test scores for consideration
- Evidence of satisfactory completion of prior course in statistics, and a graduate-level research course (these courses are available prior to the start of the DNP if necessary)
- Name and contact information for two current references, professional and/or academic
- Personal statement articulating career goals and reason for selection of the DNP degree
- Verification of post-BSN clinical hours upon admission (form provided)
- Completed electronic application form
- Official transcripts of all previous college work
