The Explorer Shadow Program is a one-day shadow experience that allows La Salle students to “shadow”, or observe, a professional to get a behind-the-scenes look at a specific job or company.

You can help students clarify their career goals by hosting 1-5 students in your workplace for a day to observe, participate and learn about your industry, role and organization. Being a host presents the opportunity to mentor the next generation of professionals while also expanding your organization’s brand awareness.

This is a great way to explore a career path and discover what it’s like to work in a specific field. You can learn more from a job shadow than you can from just a conversation, without the long-term commitment of an internship or job. You will get a behind-the-scenes look at what someone does, where they work, and have the opportunity to network with professionals.

Each participating department/program designates a Job Shadow Liaison, whose role is to communicate with faculty and market the program to students.
