Explorer Shadow Program – Students

La Salle’s Explorer Shadow Program is a one-day job shadow experience that allows students from across the university to “shadow” or observe a professional get a behind-the-scenes look at a job, company and/or industry.

Student Information and Registration

You can learn more from a job shadow than you can from just a conversation, without the long-term commitment of an internship or job. You will get a behind-the-scenes look at what someone does, where they work and have the opportunity to network with professionals.

Shadows take place during winter break or a mutually convenient date by the end of February.

The Explorer Shadow Program allows you to:

  • Explore a career field of interest, without the commitment of an internship.
  • Gain first-hand knowledge of a real work environment and on-the-job etiquette.
  • Uncover possible internships and options for future careers.
  • Connect directly with your host (an alumnus/a or other professionals), who can serve as an excellent resource for career, job and internship advice.
