The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS in SLP) program at La Salle University meets the educational requirements for licensure eligibility as a speech-language pathologist in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Some states also require a separate credential to practice in the school setting. In those states, students must obtain the required Department of Education credential to be eligible for employment in schools. Students are responsible for determining the requirements for obtaining any required school-based credential and for remaining informed of current state licensure and credentialing requirements. Current SLP practice requirements for each state can be found online at: https://www.asha.org/advocacy/state/state-and-territory-information/.
Please be advised that licensure-related laws, regulations, and policies may change at any time, so always check with your state licensure agency where you plan to seek employment for the most up-to-date information.
