Dr. Cameron B. Wesson has 28 years of professional experience in higher education, previously serving as a faculty member and administrator at the University of Oklahoma, University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Vermont, and Lehigh University. He served as Provost and Dean of Faculty at Franklin & Marshall College before coming to La Salle in 2023. An archaeologist by training, Wesson has been in full-time academic administrative positions for the past ten years. In his role as interim provost, he is responsible for all aspects of academic affairs, including oversight for all academic programs and personnel. During his time at Lehigh, Dr. Wesson redesigned undergraduate student academic advising, leading to record first-to-second year student retention in the College of Arts & Sciences. He served as provost at F&M during the campus response to the COVID-19 pandemic, helping faculty migrate to online course instruction for the first time in the institution’s history. Dr. Wesson is presently completing his coursework for an MBA degree at Lehigh.
