Oana Nechita, M.A., LPC

Adjunct Instructor
Counseling and Family Therapy

Oana is a proud La Salle graduate! Her entire pre- and post-graduate career has been dedicated working with survivors of complex trauma and homicide at the Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) in Bucks County. She has had the privilege to work with clients from various cultural backgrounds healing from sexual abuse and violence, grief, loss, and displacements in culture and in life. Her work at NOVA maintained a deep focus on assisting members of our community who have the least access to mental healthcare and who are largely underserved by existing systems, including refugees, people without housing, people of color, and LBGTQIA+ folks. Oana continues to assist those who are most affected by lack of resources and access in her private practice. She deeply believes in the healing power of mind-body integrative strategies and bases her approach in attachment theory as well as yoga-informed practices. Her teaching philosophy rests on the idea that safety and support are critical to any learning environment, and she strives to co-create this environment with her students.
