What you’ll learn

The Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate is an online program designed to enhance your nursing skillset by developing an expertise in gerontology. You will learn how to prevent, diagnose, and treat common health problems for adults and older adults while focusing on at-risk and vulnerable populations. This program will also prepare advanced practice nurses for a variety of settings, including hospital-based outpatient clinics, private practices, public clinics, and specialty practices.

This course expands the study of the actions and effects of drugs in the human system across an individual’s lifespan.

NUR 660 – Adult Gerontology Primary Care I

This course focuses on the primary care health concerns of diverse young adults, adults, and older adults and facilitates student development in the nurse practitioner role.
