The B.A. in Computer Science program offers a more practical approach to the field with an emphasis on utilizing databases in software development. Graduates are prepared for software developer roles.
The B.S. in Computer Science program is a traditional track with a heavy focus on theory and mathematics, including a full year of both calculus and physics. Students are prepared for competitive careers, often as software engineers, with top companies or to pursue a graduate degree in computer science.
These programs also offer a unique fifth year Master’s program option in Computer Information Science or Cybersecurity.
This course covers software mobile application development including its architecture, lifecycle, and its inherent design considerations. Students will learn about mobile resources, activities, views, layouts, and intents and interact with the location-based services, messaging services, multimedia interfaces, and sensors available on the mobile device. The applications developed will manage data input from and output to files, databases, and content providers. After developing applications in an emulation environment, students will install them on individual mobile devices as well as prepare them for marketplace distribution.
