How to Apply

All application materials must be submitted through the CSDCAS Portal. Please do not send any materials directly to La Salle University; they will not be considered as part of your application.

Application Deadline

Priority Deadline: Applications must be received by 11:59 PM ET by January 5, 2026. Decisions will be communicated by mid-January 2026. Students who complete their application by the priority deadline will be given priority consideration for graduate assistantships and scholarship funds.

Rolling Admissions: Starting January 6, we will review applications on a rolling basis. Applications will be reviewed as soon as they are completed and verified. Our application will remain open until the class is filled.

Application Instructions

  • Complete the CSDCAS application.
  • Request that official transcripts from all U.S. institutions attended be sent to CSDCAS.
  • Upload a personal essay in response to the prompt in the “Documents” section of CSDCAS.
  • At least three letters of recommendation sent through the CSDCAS portal. A minimum of two must be from someone who taught you during your college career and can speak about the quality of your academic work and your ability to succeed in a graduate program. The third letter may come from a faculty member or professional colleague.
  • Our program is GRE optional. If you choose to submit test scores, you should request that official GRE scores be sent to La Salle University using code 0717. The test must be taken within the past five years.

Admission Requirements for a Successful Applicant

  • Applicants to La Salle University’s Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Program must have a background in communication sciences and disorders through a major, minor, or having taken/be enrolled in a minimum of 6 prerequisite courses.
  • We recommend prerequisite coursework in the following: anatomy and physiology of the speech and hearing mechanism, neuroanatomy, language development, linguistics, phonetics, acoustics, and audiology.
  • Applicants should have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 to apply and applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in their communication sciences and disorders coursework. 
  • We rely on CSDCAS computation of total GPA.
  • Additionally, students must have taken at least one course in biology, statistics, physics/chemistry, and social sciences.  Students who have not taken coursework in these areas must take and pass them during the M.S. program.
  • Applicants may be interviewed as part of the application process.
  • You are responsible for monitoring the completeness of your application through the CSDCAS portal.

International Admission Requirements

We welcome international applicants to apply! With on-campus graduate housing and university-wide support systems, we prepare our international students with the support they need to be successful.

Please request that official evaluations of transcripts from all foreign institutions be sent to CSDCAS. Use the World Education Services (WES) link in the “Academic History” section of the application to order your official WES evaluation.

Prerequisite Requirements

Students who do not have a background in communication sciences and disorders are encouraged to first complete prerequisite courses through our Pre-SLP program. If you are unsure whether you’ve met all the prerequisites, please contact Dr. Bitetti who can provide a preliminary review of your materials.
