Graduate assistantships at La Salle can greatly enhance your graduate student experience at La Salle while providing significant financial support. While qualifications and duties differ for each position, graduate assistants are generally expected to work approximately 20 hours per week in exchange for an hourly wage and tuition for up to two courses in the fall and up to two courses in the spring. The specifics for each position are noted in each individual posting. For minimum eligibility, graduate assistants must have confirmed their enrollment in a master’s program with a non-refundable deposit to be applied to their tuition prior to applying and be in good standing with the University.

The list below reflects openings for the 2025-2026 academic year; however, the availability and type of graduate assistantships may vary each year. The list of available graduate assistantships for the upcoming academic year is expected to be released in the preceding spring semester on the University’s jobs webpage under “Staff Positions.” If the Office of Human Resources no longer lists a graduate assistant position, the position may have been filled.

Graduate Assistant, Academic Support for Student Athletes

The Graduate Assistant for Academic Support of Student Athletes is responsible for mentoring and monitoring designated student-athletes in their academic pursuits.

  • Support for Student-Athletes: The graduate assistant will provide direct, one-on-one support to identified at-risk student-athletes. This support will focus on helping students who are struggling academically due to issues with time management and accountability. The graduate assistant plays a crucial role in guiding student-athletes to success and helping them regain academic momentum by developing rapport with their assigned student-athletes during individual student sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with ASSA writing tutor and other campus partners to aid in student success.
  • Communicate weekly with ASSA staff, coaches, and other athletic department staff.
  • Assist in special department projects as directed.
  • Support La Salle University’s educational philosophy and the goals of the Athletic Department as a loyal, energetic, and highly visible University representative.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and full compliance with the rules, regulations, and philosophies of the NCAA, various conference affiliations, and La Salle University.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and full compliance with NCAA Bylaw 10.1 (ethical conduct) and NCAA Bylaw 11.2 (contractual agreements)
  • Assist in performing an appropriate needs assessment and documenting student meetings in Starfish.
  • Responsible for reporting potential violations, eligibility problems, rules infractions, or disciplinary action of student-athletes immediately to your supervisor.
  • Create a positive environment for student-athletes by communicating clearly and fairly with each student-athlete on matters that affect his/her development, including academic, physical, social, spiritual, and athletic issues.
  • Accept no speaking engagements for money, endorsements, or any other outside employment at any time without prior approval of the Director of Academic Support for Student Athletes.
  • Promote the University in general, as well as its athletics, and be involved in the total athletic program of the University, including attending meetings and supporting department goals and objectives.

Graduate Assistant, Advancement Operations

The Graduate Assistant, Advancement Operations, position will assist the Operations team in ensuring donors are properly acknowledged, recognized, and stewarded in an accurate and timely manner to promote the strategic fundraising and engagement goals of University Advancement. This position is responsible for accurately producing acknowledgement letters, preparing donor reports, assisting with event and donor communications, and providing general support to the entire University Advancement Operations team. This team member will also support University Advancement events and communications.

  • Draft and disseminate gift acknowledgement letters.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and solicitations to donors.
  • Prepare endowment and gift impact reports for donors.
  • Track donor relations and stewardship activities in appropriate databases.
  • Assist with preparing alumni bios, nametags and other event preparations.
  • Assist with updates to constituent records in CRM database.
  • Write and prepare regular correspondence, such as emails, letters, newsletters, etc. Distribution may also be required (e.g., sending emails and mailings).
  • Perform some traditional office work, such as data entry, scanning, and copying, assisting with mailings (e.g., printing, labeling and stuffing).

Graduate Assistant, Athletic Communications

The Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant will assist the Associate Athletic Director with all aspects regarding media relations, public relations, social media marketing, and sport information to promote La Salle’s varsity sport programs.

  • Serve as the primary media contact for a number of La Salle’s sports.
  • Identify and pitch story ideas to media, facilitate press conferences, and coordinate media interviews with coaches and student-athletes.
  • Supervise and coordinate game management positions, including student workers and select staff, at home athletic events, including women’s basketball games.
  • Oversee statistical information for assigned sports, including compiling and maintaining records on each sport, distribution of statistics and information, maintaining and updating information files on student-athletes and staff.
  • Report results of all games and events to media, Atlantic 10 Conference, and/or NCAA Offices.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases, game previews, game recaps and other media relations materials for women’s basketball and other sports for which they are the official contact.
  • Prepare game programs for all home events for sports for which they are the official contact.
  • Promote individual athletes for All-Conference, All-America, and other honors as appropriate. Oversee the Sports Information Office as needed.
  • Communicate and cooperate with Associate Athletic Director on a regular basis on all developments with public relations potential.
  • Respond appropriately with the media so as not to demean student-athletes, the University, the Conference and all parties connected.
  • Immediately report anything controversial that may attract media attention to a supervisor.

Graduate Assistant, Athletic Development

The Graduate Assistant for Athletic Development has a unique opportunity to be exposed to the operations of both fundraising and athletics. The GA is responsible for office work, including writing and sending letters, doing research on alumni and donors, and preparing lists and presentations. Gameday responsibilities include planning for each event, providing top customer service for donors and other guests, and being responsive to any other needs that arise.

  • Work with the members of the Athletic Development staff with communications and relationship management of our alumni athletes and supporters (donors/potential donors).
  • Write and prepare regular correspondence, such as emails, letters, newsletters, etc. Distribution may also be required (e.g., sending emails and mailings).
  • Perform some traditional office work, such as data entry, scanning, and copying, assisting with mailings (e.g., printing, labeling and stuffing).
  • Provide Men’s Basketball game day support for VIP functions, including hospitality and customer service tasks.
  • Assist with event planning for alumni events with specific sports teams.
  • Assist at Athletic development events, such as donor check-in, customer services responsibilities, and event support, including calls to and other communications with donors regarding event attendance.
  • Complete donor research and investigation (mostly Google, LinkedIn, and La Salle archival materials).
  • Assist with updates to constituent records in CRM database.

Graduate Assistant, Athletic Digital Media

The Athletic Digital Media Graduate Assistant works directly with marketing, communications, and applicable sport programs to create high-end graphic design and video projects utilized in recruitment and promotion of student-athletes.

  • Work collaboratively with the Office of Athletic Communications to design marketing materials for the athletic department, including but not limited to schedule posters, infographics, social media graphics, and advertising graphics.
  • Assist with overarching sports marketing, communication, public relation campaigns, and sales campaigns.
  • Create enhanced videos highlighting all sports, working with professional staff on all aspects of video production, including but not limited to ESPN+ live streams and highlight packages.
  • Assist with the creation of marketing, communication, and creative content for social media to engage with fans.
  • Develop new ways to promote La Salle’s varsity athletic programs while taking advantage of emerging technology, using current graphic trends and techniques within the sports design industry as a guideline.
  • Communicate and cooperate with Associate Athletic Director on a regular basis on all developments with public relations potential.
  • Respond appropriately with the media so as not to demean student-athletes, the University, the Conference and all parties connected.
  • Immediately report anything controversial that may attract media attention to a supervisor.

Graduate Assistant, Athletic Facilities and Operations

The Athletics Facilities and Operations Graduate Assistant will assist the entire department and especially the Director of Athletics Facilities and Operations in all aspects regarding to event and building management for all of La Salle’s varsity sport and campus recreation programs.

  • Perform opening and closing duties for the TruMark Financial Center, the Kirk Pool, and other athletic facilities as assigned.
  • Setup/breakdown of athletic and University events.
  • Perform daily/weekly walks of all facilities.
  • Oversee events in the TruMark Financial Center as assigned.
  • Perform general facility maintenance.
  • Complete Daily Checklist provided at shift.
  • Serve as Event Manager or Secondary Event Manager for assigned NCAA D1 Events.
  • Adhere to University, Atlantic 10 Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of departmental activities, sports schedules, and procedures.
  • Foster cooperative working relationships with fellow staff members within the division.
  • Support the Athletics & Recreation division goals and philosophies and work to achieve and uphold the departments mission statement and core values.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward performing job duties and in working with other staff members.

Graduate Assistant, Athletic Fan and Community Engagement

Under the direction of the Associate Athletic Director for External Relations, the Athletic Fan and Community Engagement Graduate Assistant will assist with planning and executing of actions to engage fans during all athletic contests. Additionally, will assist with enhancing La Salle’s brand through local community service projects for student-athletes.

  • Assist with creation and implementation of yearly marketing and fan experience plans.
  • Assist with designing, producing and distribution of promotional materials; including posters, flyers, schedule cards and magnets, and other promotional pieces. 
  • Engage with fans to provide exceptional experience at all games and special events.
  • Assist with the creation of marketing, communication, and creative content for social media to engage with fans.
  • Lead the Mascot program including recruiting and training of new mascots.
  • Develop internal/campus relationships through promotions, events and game day recognition opportunities. 
  • Assist with planning of community service projects for student-athletes and Athletic Department Staff.
  • Support the Athletics & Recreation division goals and philosophies and work to achieve and uphold the departments mission statement and core values.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward performing job duties and in working with other staff members.

Graduate Assistant, Campus Engagement (Events and Marketing)

The Graduate Assistant for Events and Marketing in the Campus Engagement Center is responsible for assisting the Director of Student Life and Engagement in the implementation of Campus Engagement Center and Late Night La Salle initiatives and responsibilities.

  • Assist the Director of Student Life and Engagement with hiring, training, supporting and guiding the Campus Engagement Center student staff.
  • Work with the Director of Student Life and Engagement to develop, implement, and assess the Late Night La Salle program calendar of events.
  • Oversee the Campus Engagement Center Web Presence Coordination and Marketing team. Ensure development and implementation of marketing materials and strategies for all Late Night La Salle events.
  • Aid the Director of Student Life and Engagement with completion of administrative tasks pertaining to Late Night La Salle, student programming, and registered student organizations.
  • Provide guidance to students, faculty/staff, and student organizations coming to the Campus Engagement Center for information and support.
  • Attend and assist in running staff meetings, Student Engagement Council meetings, staff trainings and 1-on-1s.
  • Meet the expectations of a Graduate Assistant (timeliness, positive attitude, contributing, role modeling, etc.).

Graduate Assistant, Campus Engagement (Fraternity and Sorority Life)

The Graduate Assistant for Fraternity and Sorority Life in the Campus Engagement Center is responsible for assisting the Director of Student Life and Engagement in the oversight and management of all Fraternity and Sorority Chapters that include La Salle University in their Charter.

  • Assist the Director of Student Life and Engagement with all Fraternity and Sorority Life recruitment, new member education processes, mandatory trainings, and data collection and management.
  • Work with the Director of Student Life and Engagement to develop and implement relevant policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Advise the Inter-Fraternity Council, Intercultural Greek Council, and Panhellenic Council.
  • Assist in planning and implementation of Greek Week, Workshops, Presentations, etc.
  • Provide guidance to students, faculty/staff, and student organizations coming to the Campus Engagement Center for information and support.
  • Attend Fraternity and Sorority Life meetings, staff meetings, scheduled 1-on-1s, and semesterly training sessions as agreed upon with supervisor.
  • Meet the expectations of a Graduate Assistant (timeliness, positive attitude, contributing, role modeling, etc.).

Graduate Assistant, Campus Recreation (2 positions)

The Graduate Assistant for Campus Recreation assists with the daily operations of La Salle’s Campus Recreation program and services.

  • Maintain accurate facility maintenance logs on and oversee student staff at the Independence Blue Cross (IBC) Fitness Center.
  • Provide support to the Director of Recreation with managing daily operations of Campus Recreation programs and services.
  • Serve as a primary administrator for La Salle’s Club Sports.
  • Assist in group fitness class scheduling and monitoring of Explorer fitness classes.
  • Assist in intramural registration and management.
  • Assist with marketing Campus Recreation services and programs, including but not limited to:
    • Create and distribute information
    • Update the Department of Recreation website
    • Post relevant information on social media
  • Assist in the closing and opening of the IBC Fitness Center.

Graduate Assistant, Career Center

The Graduate Assistant for the Career Center focuses on Employment and Career Coaching assists with logistics and management of all on-campus student employment or virtual recruiting activities managed through Handshake. The GA will work to make on-campus student employment a meaningful learning and development experience considered a high-impact practice to aid in retention as well as update the database with employer relations touchpoints. The GA will help with outreach to ensure any employer engagement opportunities are promoted to faculty and students.

The GA will coach and advise supervisors who are designated to have entry-level positions on development of job descriptions that are high impact, learning and development focused opportunities for professional development. The GA assists with recruitment, hiring, and development of training for student employees. The GA creates and delivers the training curriculum for supervision and on-boarding of student employees. A strong candidate will possess excellent communication skills with a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. The ability to be organized, detail oriented, capable of following through and working independently is highly preferred.

Graduate Assistant, Chief Extern, Psy.D. Clinic (Half-Time) (5 positions)

The Chief Extern acts as an extension of the Clinic Director and faculty supervisors in providing supervision to two Clinic Teams, Clinic Assistants, and student clinicians within the La Salle Community Center for Psychological Services Clinic (“Clinic”).

  • Regular attendance and active role in group supervision. Specifically, act as a liaison between faculty supervisors and student clinicians; provide peer supervision to students as needed (e.g., students asking to discuss difficult client situations outside of team); provide an active supervisory role on the Clinic Teams; run Clinic Teams in the absence of licensed supervisor
  • Maintain appointment/attendance lists for all student clinicians and their clients
  • Supervise all intakes through pre-meetings with student clinicians, live viewing of intake interviews, provision of feedback after the intake, and review/editing of all reports
  • Manage all session recordings for supervision and competency evaluations
  • Review and edit all treatment plans, case conceptualizations, intake reports, testing reports, termination summaries, transfer documents, etc.
  • Meet regularly with faculty supervisors and weekly or bi-weekly with Clinic Director for administrative and logistical updates/concerns
  • Provide crisis management for life threatening behaviors/ideation during individual/group therapy sessions and intakes as well as peer supervision for risk assessment and crisis management procedures
  • Participate in Clinic Orientation and have thorough familiarity with Clinic policies and procedures and with Clinic Team syllabi

Graduate Assistant, Communication Sciences and Disorders / CASTLE Lab

The Graduate Assistant, Communication Science and Disorders, is responsible for supporting the CASTLE Center Lab for comprehensive evaluations of children with complex communication needs.

  • Prepare package with paperwork for incoming evaluations.
  • Maintain files for upcoming evaluation appointments.
  • Set up evaluation rooms for video recordings.
  • Support the evaluation process at La Salle’s Speech-Language Community Clinic.
  • Assist in preparation of the evaluation report.

Graduate Assistant, Commuter & Off-Campus Student Engagement

The Graduate Assistant for Commuter & Off-Campus Student Engagement organizes, communicates, facilitates, and evaluates various events and activities aimed at fostering engagement among commuter and off-campus students. These initiatives are designed to support engagement, academic success, and personal development within this student demographic.

  • Oversee the implementation of programming initiatives, including Commuter and Off-Campus Student Appreciation Week.
  • Coordinate a peer mentorship program, pairing first-year, second-year, and new transfer commuter students with a Commuter Connector.
  • Serve as a resource person for engaging commuter and off-campus students, advocating for their needs
  • Participate in orientation activities tailored for commuter and transfer students.
  • Follow up with and support commuter students identified through security reports, On-Call duty logs, midterm academic reports, non-registered lists, and the Student of Concern Committee.
  • Administer and analyze survey data to assess and address the current needs of commuter students.
  • Collect and maintain rosters of commuter and off-campus students, evaluating and monitoring levels of participation and outreach from the Commuter Coaches.
  • Edit and distribute electronic newsletters containing information, academic and social resources, and event details from across campus.
  • Update, provide content for, and monitor the website and social media platforms.
  • Communicate updates and alerts to commuter and off-campus students via text message, emails, and/or calls.
  • Oversee two commuter student lounges, updating bulletin boards, addressing facilities concerns, and monitoring/reporting usage.
  • Co-advise the Commuter and Off-Campus Student Association (COSA).
  • Establish connections and collaborate with other university departments to understand opportunities that can be effectively utilized by commuter and off-campus students.
  • Coordinate Off-Campus orientation in partnership with Housing Operations and Public Safety.
  • Educate students to promote mutual understanding of rights and responsibilities of community living through independent events and established University programming (e.g., Orientation, leadership activities).
  • Clearly convey University expectations to off-campus students and communicate University responses to neighborhood residents as allowed under University policy and federal law.

Graduate Assistant, Enterprise Applications

The Graduate Assistant for Enterprise Applications assists with technical support, project management, and application support for enterprise wide applications and services.

  • Participates in projects and completes tasks as assigned by the Director.
  • Assists the Director with documenting tasks and managing project milestone. completions within ITSM tool.
  • Develop new and audit existing knowledge base articles, reference documents, and other media to address recurring issues/questions and provide training.
  • Assists with testing, and sometimes implementing, web and mobile application changes.
  • Attends and participates in team meetings and training.
  • Fields tier 2 support requests for Enterprise Applications and escalates emergency or urgent issues to the Director.
  • Enters all support requests as tickets in the ITSM tool and verifies customer and issue information is accurate.

Graduate Assistant, First Year Experience, Belonging, and SDCL Operations

The Graduate Assistant for First Year Experience, Belonging, and Student Development and Campus Life (SDCL) Operations position plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for first-year students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, ultimately contributing to their academic success and retention. This role requires high quality customer service, attention to detail, and creative problem solving.

First-Year Experience (FYE), Orientation, and PASS Team Support:

  • Develop and implement programming aimed at enriching the first-year experience.
  • Support logistical coordination of Orientation and other FYE initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the FYE, Orientation, and PASS teams to improve outreach efforts.
  • Partner with the Office of Mission, Diversity & Inclusion and the Multicultural & International Center to address lower retention rates among Black and other students of color, crafting programs that cultivate a sense of belonging for this student demographic.

Event Support:

  • Assists in the preparation of facilities for guests and groups.
  • Directly manages and oversees reservation approvals for assigned locations (e.g., Union Building, Founder’s Hall Atrium, the Quad, and the Union Patio).
  • Oversees Student Manager(s) in scheduling staff.
  • Oversees Payroll for student staff.
  • Helps in assisting external groups.
  • Assists other University units in the execution of events and programs (e.g., Union Services, Registrar, Information Technology, Multimedia Services, Athletics and Recreation, Food Services, Physical Facilities, Business Affairs).

Graduate Assistant, Graduate and Adult Admissions

The Graduate Assistant for Graduate and Adult Admission provides support and assistance with enrollment systems and data entry for graduate and adult admission while fostering relationships with prospective and current students. The GA will provide support with application and enrollment reports in addition to assisting potential students throughout an application life cycle.  The GA will gain practical experience in student recruitment, support, and retention, and academic advising, with an overall experience of academic and enrollment operations. 

  • Provides technical support to enhance the graduate and adult admission operation.
  • Collaborates with Graduate Program Directors as assigned.
  • Consolidates data, records, and documents.  
  • Assists prospective students and families with admission related questions and concerns. 

Graduate Assistant, Honors Program

The Graduate Assistant for the Honors Program communicates with and supports students, administrators, faculty, and staff. The GA oversees student workers and utilizes Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel), databases, and email to track student engagement and outcomes. The GA schedules appointments, edits documents, and provides general assistance to the Director of the Honors Program.

  • Communication with faculty, staff, and current and prospective Honors students on campus regarding Honors policies and procedures.
  • Assistance with management of Honors Program Canvas pages (Honors Program Message Board + Honors Triple Canvas page), which includes communication with first-year students about Honors labs; with graduating Honors students regarding submission of HON 499 proposals and projects and collection of certificates and stoles for graduation; with all Honors students about course registration policies and dates.
  • Communication with appropriate persons off-campus.
  • Management of Honors Lounge and Honors conference suite room reservation.
  • Handle appropriate services needed by the Honors Student Council.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Assist the Director with student course registration, including but not limited to composition and publication of the Honors course booklet.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating records of Honors courses taught each semester.
  • Assist in coordinating with the Housing Office in regard to incoming and continuing Honors students.

Graduate Assistant, Housing Operations (Live In)

The Graduate Assistant for Housing Operations supports the daily functions of the housing office and participates in the Coordinator-On-Call (CoC) rotation for Residence Life. The GA will provide support with application and enrollment reports in addition to assisting potential students throughout an application life cycle. The GA will gain practical experience in student recruitment, support, and retention, and academic advising, with an overall experience of academic and enrollment operations.

  • Provides technical support to enhance the graduate and adult admission operation.

Graduate Assistant, Men’s Basketball (2 positions)

Under the direction of the Director of Men’s Basketball Operations and the Head Coach for Men’s Basketball, the Graduate Assistant will represent La Salle University through the sport of men’s basketball to its various constituents, while adhering to the mission and values of the University. The position requires a competent understanding of the technical aspects of the sport, knowledge and compliance of all Conference and NCAA rules, and the ability to successfully recruit quality student-athletes at the Division I level. The Graduate Assistant is responsible for providing a positive experience for each student-athlete under their supervision.

  • Assist in teaching, mentoring, and inspiring student athletes up through graduation.
  • Attend all competitions and practices and teach student athletes proper skills and skill development in their sport.
  • Assist in creating a positive environment for student-athletes by communicating clearly and fairly with each student-athlete on matters that affect their development including academic, physical, social, spiritual and athletic issues.

Graduate Assistant, Mission & Ministry

The Graduate Assistant for Mission & Ministry is responsible for providing support for Mission & Ministry, a department within the division of Mission, Diversity, & Inclusion. The Graduate Assistant will bring to bear skills, abilities, and practices that are consonant with our mission and our vision.  This individual has the responsibility to oversee all Lasallian Immersion and Volunteer Experience programs as well as training students in service and advocacy work. In addition, the Graduate Assistant will support the overall efforts of the Department of Mission & Ministry.

  • Oversee the development and execution of the Lasallian Immersion and Volunteer Experience (L.I.V.E.) programs (domestic and international alternative break programs focused on civic engagement).
  • Manage the application and selection process, risk assessment, education, reflection, and reorientation. 
  • Update and implement the L.I.V.E. Policy and Procedures Handbook, which focuses predominately on minimizing the risks and liabilities associated with alternative break programs.  
  • Attend domestic and international alternative break programs as needed.
  • Develop and empower all student leaders to effectively and responsibly lead student participants during service-based programs.

They support international student pre-arrival and pre-enrollment processes and related activities and assists in advising international students on routine immigration questions and in their cultural and academic adjustment. They also assist with study abroad advising, marketing, and coordinating application materials.

The Graduate Assistant for Public Safety will work closely with the leadership team in the Department of Public Safety to support the daily operations of the Department. The Graduate Assistant Area Coordinator (AAC) for Residence Life is responsible for supervisory, administrative, and emergency response functions that promote student engagement, academic success, and personal development. This position is a live-in position with on-call responsibilities.

Create and oversee programming and opportunities for community engagement, including but not limited to:

  • Assist with and oversee the implementation of the Leading Strong Communities/Success programming curriculum.
  • Serve as the Advisor to Resident Student Association Area Board.
  • Support and attend programs, meetings, and activities offered by student staff and area board.
  • Serve as a programming and community building resource for staff and students.
  • Promote participation in University programs and services.

Intervene and respond to crisis, including but not limited to:

  • Counsel students as they encounter various developmental and/or adjustment difficulties in making appropriate referrals to Student Wellness Services, and University Ministry, Service and Suppor
  • Participate in on call duty rotation and provide University management presence when offices are closed.
  • Provide appropriate support and follow-up for students and staff involved in crisis or emergency situations.
  • Maintain availability and accessibility to residents and student staff.

The Graduate Assistant for the Speech-Language-Hearing (SLH) Community Clinic supports the Clinic Director and is responsible for the following: filing the clinical documentation for active clinic clients, help make copies of clinical materials needed for clients, organizes student resource room, manages the Zoom sessions for clinic patients, assists with preparing clinic rooms and treatment materials for therapy sessions, and makes weekly calls regarding appointments for clinic sessions.

The Graduate Assistant position at La Salle serves to support the functions of the Office of Student Advocacy and Support, specifically by providing support for the management of the Basket. Graduate Assistant, Student Conduct

The Graduate Assistant for the Office of Student Conduct within Student Development & Campus Life will work closely with the Director of Student Conduct to support the daily operations of the office. This individual will support the mission of the Office of Student Conduct through a blend of administrative duties, outreach to students, and educational programming. This individual will have access to confidential information and will be required to exert high standards of professional discretion to manage this information.

  • Will assist with responding to requests for disciplinary history/statuses for individual students as well as large groups of students (e.g., during seasons where students are applying for various on campus leadership positions).

  • Assist in Student Health Center front-of-office workflow including, waiting room, patient registration/check-in, exam room assignment/management, and patient disposition/scheduling.
  • Develop proficient skills in patient/student healthcare information management and organization through PyraMED Electronic Health Record system.
  • Assist SHC Administrative Coordinator with collection and organization of individual student health records and documentation including immunization records and additional required individual health forms.
  • Assist SHC Administrative Coordinator in supporting the work of several federal work study employees in Student Health Center.

Graduate Assistant, Technology Support Services

The Graduate Assistant for Technology Support Services provides timely delivery of technical support and excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Fielding incoming phone calls, emails, and appointment support requests at the Helpdesk.
  • Escalates emergency or urgent issues to the Director and Assistant Director.
  • Enters all support requests as tickets in the ITSM tool and verifies customer information is accurate.
  • Connects customers with support documentation to self-resolve issues when possible.
  • Troubleshoots and documents computer hardware, software, and mobile device issues and escalates unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.

Graduate Assistant, Test Proctoring

The Graduate Assistant for Test Proctoring is an important member of the Center for Academic Achievement team who primarily supports students with approved accommodations. Proctors are responsible for scheduling exams with students and instructors, setting up testing rooms, recording attendance, ensuring accommodations are available, clarifying instructions with students and/or instructors, and ensuring that assigned exams are administered in a timely and secure way for the instructor(s). The Graduate Assistant will also support the Center for Academic Achievement by assisting with events and initiatives designed to enhance academic support for students.

  • Receives exam from instructor/designee prior to test date and clarifies exam instructions and requested conditions, contacting the professor if needed.
  • Reviews student request forms for completeness and/or conflicts of interest.
  • Schedules test day and time and sends confirmation emails to instructor and student.
  • Reviews the instructions and accommodations allowed and ensures understanding of them and any required materials.
  • Ensures that all examination room arrangements are set up in accordance with the specification provided.
  • Assists test supervisors in administering exams and ensures that appropriate procedures, policies, and protocols are followed.
  • Checks identification and makes a copy to attach to the test.
  • Records attendance and provides students with test instructions and passes out test materials.

  • Serve as a representative of La Salle University and lead in an exemplary fashion including, but not limited to: Promote principles of sportsmanlike and ethical conduct that supports fundamental values of respect, fairness, civility, honesty, and responsibility among student-athletes, staff and fans; Demonstrate reasonable self-control at contests with players, opposing coaches and players, officials, and fans; Refrain from physical and verbal abuse of student-athletes, referees, or any persons associated with the Atlantic 10 Conference or the University; Accept no speaking engagement for money, endorsements, or any other outside employment at any time without prior approval of the Vice President of Athletics and Recreation.
  • Responsible for compliance with all appropriate rules, regulations, processes, and principles including, but not limited to: All rules, regulations, and principles of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Atlantic 10 Conference and any other conference with which the University may have an affiliation; All policies and procedures of La Salle University that are applicable to employment at La Salle, the specific sport program, and to the students and athletes at La Salle, including but not limited to La Salle rules, regulations, policies, procedures, handbooks and manuals; All of the regulations of Title IX related to Athletics in the administration of all-intercollegiate athletic programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting to the Vice President of Athletics and Recreation and any other appropriate individuals or agencies sensitive issues such as: Any suspected or alleged NCAA and conference eligibility problems, rules infractions, and disciplinary actions; Any suspected or alleged violations of any city, state, or federal laws; Any suspected or alleged violations of La Salle rules, regulations, policies, procedures, handbooks and manuals; Anything that may attract press/media attention.
  • Promote the general University and Athletics program including, but not limited to: Attend appropriate alumni functions and post-game gatherings; Assist in organization, follow-up and contact of alumni and friends of the University for the purpose of recruiting quality student-athletes, promoting attendance at games, and promoting the University in general; Regularly communicate with students, faculty, and administration to promote general enthusiasm for the program and attendance at games; Be involved in the total athletic program of the University, including attendance at coaches meeting and support of department goals and objectives.

Graduate Assistant, University Marketing and Communications

The Graduate Assistant for University Marketing & Communications is responsible for providing support for the marketing and communication functions of the university through coverage of events, photography, creation of social media posts, event logistics, calendar management, etc. The GA will take on specific projects as outlined by the Director of Communications and the AVP for Marketing and Digital Strategy. 

  • Assist with covering events from a marketing and communication standpoint (e.g., photography).
  • Create social media posts as assigned.
  • Assist with coordinating and executing marketing event logistics (e.g., video filming, soliciting student volunteers, writing copy, reserving spaces).
  • Assist with calendar management and planning.
  • Create PowerPoint templates and presentations as directed.

Graduate Assistant, Women’s Basketball

Under the direction of the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations and the Head Coach for Women’s Basketball, the Graduate Assistant will represent La Salle University through the sport of women’s basketball to its various constituents while adhering to the mission and values of the University. The position requires a competent understanding of the technical aspects of the sport, knowledge and compliance of all Conference and NCAA rules, and the ability to successfully recruit quality student-athletes at the Division I level. The Graduate Assistant is required to provide a positive experience for each student-athlete under their supervision.

  • Assist in teaching, mentoring, and inspiring student athletes up through graduation.
  • Attend all competitions and practices and teach student athletes proper skills and skill development in their sport.
  • Assist in creating a positive environment for student-athletes by communicating clearly and fairly with each student-athlete on matters that affect their development including academic, physical, social, spiritual and athletic issues.
  • Assist in identifying and recruiting student athletes who are capable of competing successfully on the NCAA Division I level and who are capable of succeeding academically and graduating.
  • Maintain precise records of all recruiting contacts in coordination with the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance.
  • Responsible for staying within fiscal and budgetary guidelines and maintaining expense reports for all scouting, recruiting and travel expenses.
  • Coordinate and/or approve all recruiting travel for coaching staff and all on and off campus recruiting visits.
