Welcome to Campus, International Students!

We’re anticipating your arrival to campus and are thrilled to welcome you to your new home away from home!  We are so glad you chose US!  Please read the instructions on this webpage and reach out to us if you have questions. We are here to ensure your transition is smooth, informed, and warmly supported.

Arrival and Move-In Information

Move-In Dates: August 18, 2025
International student move-in for the upcoming semester begins on August 18. We strongly encourage you to arrive on this date to take full advantage of orientation activities on August 19 and to settle in before classes begin.

Early Arrival Option
If your travel plans require an earlier arrival, limited early check-in options may be available. Please contact Alisa Macksey(macksey@lasalle.edu)  or Kimberly Taylor Benns (taylorbenns@lasalle.edu), to discuss before making arrangements.

Upon Arrival in the U.S.

  • Airport Transportation:
To ensure a seamless transition to campus you are required to submit your travel itinerary via your student portal.  We must have this information in order to provide transportation from the airport to campus.
  • Be sure to upload and complete the travel itinerary through your student portal, this will let us know when and where to greet you!
  • Customs & Immigration:
Keep your passport, visa, and I-20/DS-2019 form handy. We recommend having a printed copy of your admission letter, housing assignment, and contact information from the University just in case.

Housing and Move-In Tips

  • Housing Assignments:
You will receive your campus housing assignment at check-in.  Room essentials like bedding and toiletries are available (at cost)  upon arrival.
  • Move-In Support:
Our Student Ambassadors and Residence Life staff will be on hand to welcome you and assist with check-in, room setup, and campus navigation.

International Student Orientation

Orientation begins on August 19 and is mandatory for all new international students. This special program will help you:

  • Understand visa and immigration regulations
  • Set up your student account, health insurance, and banking
  • Learn about academic life and cultural adjustment
  • Make friends and meet key University staff and faculty

Safe travels—we can’t wait to see you on campus!
