What activities was the Nominee involved with as a student?
During my time as a student at La Salle University, I was deeply involved in a variety of leadership, service, and campus engagement opportunities that shaped my personal and professional development. I was an active member of Alpha Theta Alpha sorority, where I held multiple leadership roles including President, Fundraising Chair, and Service and Philanthropy Chair. Through these positions, I led initiatives that strengthened sisterhood, coordinated fundraising efforts, and organized service opportunities that connected our organization with the broader community.
I also served as President of the Education Association, where I advocated for future educators, facilitated programming, and supported collaboration among students within the School of Education. Additionally, I represented my peers as a Sophomore Class Representative in the Student Government Association, contributing to student voice and campus-wide
decision-making.
My involvement extended as a member of professional and engagement-based organizations including the African American Student League (AASL) and On The Quad La Salle, where I served as Secretary and supported campus programming and communication efforts. From 2021 to 2025, I served as La Salle University’s Student Social Media Ambassador, highlighting student experiences, promoting university initiatives, and helping to strengthen institutional storytelling and community connection.
Finally, I worked as a Union Operations Staff member within the Office of Student Development and Campus Life under Kyra Spoto, where I supported daily union operations and contributed to creating a welcoming and engaging campus environment for students, families, and visitors.
How has the Nominee remained active or engaged with the University as an alumnus/a since graduation?
Since graduating from La Salle University, I have intentionally sought opportunities to remain connected to the community that had such a meaningful impact on my personal and professional journey. I deeply valued my time at La Salle and have felt a strong desire to give back in the same way alumni once invested in me.
Recently, I returned to campus to participate as a panelist for the La Salle Education Association Alumni Night, where I shared my experiences transitioning from student to educator and offered encouragement and insight to current students pursuing careers in education. I have also remained engaged by attending Homecoming, which provided an opportunity to reconnect with peers, faculty, and the broader La Salle community.
I continue to look for meaningful ways to strengthen my connection to the University and support its mission and vision. Serving in a more formal alumni leadership role would allow me to deepen this engagement and contribute more intentionally to the La Salle community that helped shape who I am today.
Why does the Nominee want to serve on the Alumni Board of Directors?
I am interested in serving on the Alumni Board of Directors because I believe deeply in La Salle University’s mission and want to play an active role in strengthening the connection between alumni, current students, and the institution. My experiences as a student were significantly enriched by alumni who invested their time, presence, and encouragement, and I am motivated to provide that same support for the next generation of Explorers.
I hope to contribute by helping generate meaningful opportunities for alumni to gather, reconnect, and remain engaged with the University beyond graduation. I am particularly passionate about increasing undergraduate engagement with alumni through mentorship initiatives, especially for first-year students who are navigating their transition into college and graduating students who are navigating their transition out of college.
Additionally, I would be excited to support signature institutional initiatives such as Day of Giving, increase outreach and programming for recent graduates who are often in a critical transition period, and help create intentional channels for undergraduate students to share their needs so alumni can respond with support, resources, and partnership.
I am also eager to promote alumni involvement in community service efforts connected to La Salle’s Lasallian values, volunteer at first-year and campus engagement events, and assist with storytelling and outreach that highlights alumni impact. Ultimately, I want to serve as a bridge builder, someone who listens, shows up, and helps create a vibrant, supportive alumni community that continues to invest in La Salle students and the University’s future.
Is there any other information you would like to share with the nomination committee of the Alumni Association Board of Directors?
I believe serving on the Alumni Association Board of Directors is an opportunity that aligns closely with my passions and commitment to La Salle University. As a recent graduate, I bring a perspective that is closely connected to the experiences, needs, and transitions of emerging alumni, which I believe can help strengthen engagement among recent graduating Explorers.
I am eager to contribute energy, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to initiatives that elevate the Alumni Association’s presence both on campus and beyond. My goal is to help foster a culture where alumni feel welcomed, connected, and motivated to remain involved in meaningful ways. I would be honored to serve in a role that allows me to continue giving back to the La Salle family while supporting building lasting relationships across generations of Explorers.
