How has the Nominee remained active or engaged with the University as an alumnus/a since graduation?
He has continued to support the track and cross-country teams and his fraternity. For several years, he has served on the board of the Committee of Explorers an alumni group that stages events and reunions and also supports the active undergrad brothers.
Why does the Nominee want to serve on the Alumni Board of Directors?
Based on his experience on the Committee of Explorers, Jake understands the impact that he can have on the alumni and the university. He also knows the values and skills that a team player can add to the alumni association. For almost forty years, he has demonstrated his loyalty to La Salle and backed it with donations to the university, his teams, and his fraternity. In sum, Jake’s drive to help La Salle underlies his agreeing to serve on the association.
Is there any other information you would like to share with the nomination committee of the Alumni Association Board of Directors?
It is hard to think of a more loyal alum. Working with him is a pleasure, his intelligence, commitment, and good sense of humor will serve the association well.
