What is Handshake?
Handshake is software tool and job board that allows employers to post jobs and connect with schools around the nation and internationally. La Salle is now one of many universities to partner with Handshake that further expands this network of academics and opportunities. Handshake is a powerful tool that helps job seekers find full-time, part-time and internship opportunities with Fortune 500 companies and neighborhood businesses alike.
What Can Handshake Do?
- For alumni job seekers: The Career Center at La Salle uses Handshake to post job and internship openings for students, recent grads and experienced alumni, as well as Career Center and employer events.
- For alumni employers: Handshake allows employers to post jobs and internships, and register for events such as career fairs and on-campus interviews. If you are an alumnus/a that wants to recruit at La Salle, you will receive specialized assistance setting up an account that will allow you to post job and internship openings. You can also collaborate with the Assistant Director of Employer Relations regarding your on-campus branding and recruitment efforts, such as career fairs and hosting events (on-campus or virtual), which provide an opportunity to talk with current students.

Request a Handshake account by emailing the Career Center at firstname.lastname@example.org, with the following information: first and last name, preferred email address, graduation year.
