The Alumni Association hosts their annual Alumni Awards Ceremony during Homecoming in the Fall each year. This event honors a very dedicated alumni volunteer with the John J. Finley, ’24 Award, and bestows the Signum Fidei Medal to an individual or group for their contributions to upholding humanitarian principles and the goals and mission of La Salle University and the Christian Brothers. Signum Fidei, meaning “sign of faith,” is the motto of the Christian Brothers.
The Hall of Athletes inducts between three and five athletes, coaches, or teams annually to celebrate. Created through a special partnership between the La Salle University Alumni Association and La Salle’s Athletic Department more than 57 years ago, the Hall of Athletes is celebrated in the spring semester annually. To date, over 163 recognized explorer athletes, including All-Americans, conference champions, and Olympians have been inducted into the Hall of Athletes.
In 2012, the Alumni Association partnered with the Athletic Department to renovate and upgrade the Hall of Athletes display located on the entire first floor of newly named TruMark Financial Center, just outside of Kirk Pool. The redesign of the Hall of Athletes highlights the most important accomplishments of our student athletes and teams and features a timeline of events that chronicles the milestones in La Salle athletic history. It features a touch screen video display, a vintage photo collage of our five original inductees and, of course, the profiles of each member of this special fraternity.

Each year during our Homecoming Weekend, we celebrate our 10th, 25th, and 50th reunion classes. In advance of our 2026 Homecoming in November 2026, we are looking for volunteers from the 2016, 2001, and 1976 classes to assist in the planning process. Volunteers are a key way to reconnect with classmates and encourage their attendance at reunion.
