The La Salle University Office of Financial Aid fully complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. FERPA is designed to protect your privacy as a student.
As required by FERPA, we don’t disclose your financial aid information to anyone except you without your written permission except for:
Your parent if you’re a “dependent” student (your parent claims you on their income taxes)
University employees with a need to know who meet FERPA’s requirements
Unless you’ve given us written permission, we specifically won’t disclose your financial aid information to:
Your parent if you’re an independent student
Your spouse if you’re married
We will never disclose your Social Security Number, address, date of birth, or alien registration number.
Authorization to Release Information
The Authorization to Release Information form is required for all students and may be updated at any time during your enrollment. This form does not need to be renewed unless you make a change to the individual(s) with whom we are authorized to share information.
