At a Glance

  • Eligibility: Freshmen who are graduates of 37 Philadelphia-area high schools
  • Application: Online application
  • Deadline: March 15

Graduates of 37 Philadelphia-area high schools can apply for “last dollar” scholarships from the Maguire Foundation to attend La Salle University for four years. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a graduate of one of 37 partner high schools
  • Have earned at least a 3.0 GPA in high school
  • Complete the Maguire Scholars Program Application, including a letter of recommendation from the supervisor of a community service or extracurricular activity
  • Demonstrate financial need through completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid by Feb. 15
  • Be able to pay at least $5,000 annually toward tuition and room and board
  • Agree to participate in an annual Maguire Scholars Program event
  • Agree to take part in regular “Maguire Scholar Mentoring” in accordance with La Salle University requirements
