In April, La Salle University entered a multi-year partnership with Univest Financial Corporation, designating Univest as the University’s Official Banking Partner. This partnership also secured naming rights for the University’s primary athletics facility, which will now be known as the Univest Financial Fieldhouse.
Paul Westhead, head coach of the La Salle Men’s Basketball from 1970 to 1979, was awarded the Chuck Daly Award for Lifetime Achievement by the NBA at the NBA Finals game in June.
The Explorer women’s basketball team had a historic 2025-26 season, participating in the tournament’s postseason play for the first time since the early 90s.
Denise “Dei” Lynam was named the fifth head coach of La Salle University’s women’s golf team in May 2026.
The Acrobatics and Tumbling team concluded its inaugural season 4-2 with the only two losses coming on the road against multi-year established programs in Missouri State and Duquesne.
Along with debuting new athletic teams during the 2025-26 academic year, La Salle welcomed back Baseball to DeVincent Field.
Three men’s Varsity 8+ boats entered into the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta, taking them to their fourth IRA National Championship in as many years, with the 1v earning a 20th place finish in the nation after finishing 2nd in the D-Final. The second and third eights both finished 21st with third place finishes in their respective D-Finals.
