Why do you want to run for the Alumni Board of Directors?
I want to serve on the Alumni Board of Directors because I believe La Salle has given me so much over the last decade of my life that I want to return the favor by continuing to ensure La Salle is here for future generations whether that be through my time, my ideas, or financially. I was recently back at La Salle physically for the first time in a couple of years for an Ambassadors Alumni event. It was at this event that I met members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors and I realized that I am in a position now professionally where I have the time to give back to a university that has given me so much more than a degree but lifetime friendship, employment opportunities, and the gift to continue to learn. I want to continue to hear ideas from other alumni and contribute my own ideas to continue to help La Salle evolve into the best university it can be!
What activities were you involved in as a student?
I was a general member of Delta Sigma Pi, the professional business fraternity on campus, for four years. I also served two terms as VP of Finance on the Executive Board and was the formal chair my senior year. In addition to DSP, I was a general member of La Salle Ambassadors for 3 years and served on E Board as Treasurer for a one-year term. I was a proud student manager at the La Salle Phonathon for 2 years prior to Covid. I also would volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and various on campus initiatives through my other organizations.
How have you remained active or engaged with La Salle as an alum since graduation?
I still remain engaged with my classmates and professors on LinkedIn and have a sister who is a graduating senior this year so I will be back to campus for all things graduation shortly. I recently returned to La Salle for an Ambassadors Alumni event where I met various members of the Alumni Association. I also still donate to La Salle every Day of Giving, as I used to run the event through Phonathon, and I have been back to Homecoming a couple of times since graduating! I am always following La Salle updates on social media and am currently enrolled in the online MBA program.
