Why do you want to run for the Alumni Board of Directors? I’m eager to serve on the Alumni Board of Directors because I deeply value the community that shaped me during my time at La Salle. My commitment is rooted in giving back, strengthening connections between alumni and students, and expanding access to opportunities—particularly for students from historically underrepresented backgrounds. I want to ensure future graduates experience the same support, mentorship, and sense of belonging that helped me thrive.
What activities were you involved in as a student? As a student, I was an active member of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), where I participated in professional development events, networking opportunities, and community initiatives focused on diversity in business and finance.
How have you remained active or engaged with La Salle as an alum since graduation? Since graduating, I’ve remained actively connected by attending the Accounting Awards and Women’s Awards events annually. I’ve also returned to campus as a recruiter, where I connect with current students and provide career guidance in the accounting field. In addition, I am currently pursuing my MBA with a focus in accounting, further solidifying my connection to the La Salle academic community.
Is there any other information you would like to share? As a young professional who has successfully transitioned from student to mentor, I bring a unique perspective rooted in both lived experience and a deep commitment to service. In addition to my continued involvement with La Salle, I actively engage in professional networking through organizations such as NABA, PICPA, and my firm’s leadership development groups. These experiences have expanded my understanding of industry trends, strengthened my leadership skills, and allowed me to mentor rising professionals in accounting and finance. I’m excited about the opportunity to use my voice on the Alumni Board to foster inclusive growth, uplift emerging leaders, and deepen La Salle’s connection to the broader professional landscape.
