Why does the Nominee want to serve on the Alumni Board of Directors? I would like to serve on the Alumni Board of Directors because I believe deeply in staying connected to and investing in the community that helped shape me. My experience as a student provided not only academic growth but also leadership development, mentorship, and lifelong relationships. Serving on the board feels like a meaningful way to give back and ensure that future students have access to the same opportunities and support.
I am especially self-motivated by the opportunity to strengthen alumni engagement. Alumni networks are powerful when they are active, inclusive, and purpose-driven. I would love to help create programs and events that foster connection across generations, expand professional networking opportunities, and increase alumni participation in mentorship and philanthropy.
Additionally, I bring strong organizational, collaborative, and communication skills. I am comfortable working on committees, identifying areas for growth, and helping move initiatives from idea to action. I value transparency, thoughtful decision-making, and listening to diverse perspectives before charting next steps in any action.
Ultimately, I see board service not as a title, but as a responsibility to forward the institution’s mission, to amplify alumni voices, and to help build a sustainable and engaged future community.
Is there any other information you would like to share with the nomination committee of the Alumni Association Board of Directors? I am hard working, dedicated and look forward to paying forward, my experience at La Salle to others.
