The Christian Brothers’ Scholarship, which covers tuition for up to four years of undergraduate study, is La Salle’s most prestigious scholarship. La Salle awards it to applicants who have extensive community service backgrounds and a demonstrated interest in future service. The emphasis on community service follows in the tradition the Christian Brothers established more than 300 years ago.

The comprehensive review of each applicant particularly emphasizes the GPA, curriculum strength, and leadership inside and outside the classroom. Recipients of Christian Brothers’ Scholarships typically rank in the top 10 percent of their graduating class and have a GPA of 4.0 over their first three years of high school.

To apply, you must submit:

  • An application for admission to La Salle University
  • The completed online Christian Brothers’ Scholarship application (log in with the email address and password you use for La Salle’s Applicant Portal)
  • An essay of 500 to 1,000 words on a designated topic
  • A letter of recommendation, which the writer should send to admiss@lasalle.edu
