At a Glance

  • Eligibility: Current La Salle students who have at least 15 credits
  • Application: Online Common Scholarship Application
  • Priority deadline: Aug. 21

La Salle University students who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the School of Business Evening Division can apply for the Modern Handling Scholarship. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Enroll in the School of Business Evening Division
  • Have completed at least 15 undergraduate credits – six or more of them at La Salle before the scholarship term
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Enroll for at least six credits at La Salle during the scholarship term
  • Demonstrate financial need through completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
  • Complete the Common Scholarship Application online
  • Submit a one-page typed essay that describes personal, educational, and career goals, as well as any relevant family situations

Children of Modern Handling employees can apply whether they’re day or evening students and don’t have to demonstrate financial need with the FAFSA. However, they must list the parent’s name and Social Security Number on their application.

Scholarships are awarded for one academic year. Recipients who continue to meet the eligibility requirements can reapply each year.
