Hard work can often pay for itself. That’s why it’s no surprise that our Honors students often receive many of the scholarships we offer here at La Salle. These students come from all walks of life, excelling in academic merit and community service and having a strong overall high school profile.

Christian Brothers Scholarship

At a Glance

  • Award Amount: Full scholarship toward the cost of tuition
  • For first-time Freshmen

Eligibility: Prospective freshmen interested in applying for the Christian Brothers Scholarship may fill out a scholarship application while also awaiting their admission decision from the University.  However, prospective freshman must be accepted to La Salle University in order to qualify for the Christian Brothers’ Scholarship.

Christian Brothers Scholarship Applicants are reviewed holistically with particular emphasis placed on cumulative grade point average, strength of curriculum and academic and extracurricular leadership as evidenced by honors and awards.

Previous Christian Brothers Scholarship recipients have ranked in the top 10 percent of their graduating class and achieved a median grade point average of a 4.0 over their first three years of high school.

Requirements: Christian Brothers’ Scholarships are valued at the amount of the annual full cost of tuition and are renewable each year for four years if normal progress is being made toward the degree and if the student maintains a minimum grade point average of 3.0.

In addition to the completed application for admission to La Salle, each candidate must submit the following credentials for the review of the scholarship selection committee:

  • The completed, separate Christian Brothers’ Scholarship application
  • An additional essay of 500 to 1000 words on a designated topic

Letters of recommendation from two additional individuals of the applicant’s choice.  Letters of recommendation should be sent to admiss@lasalle.edu.

Student must be deeply committed to community service as shown by level of involvement and other details described through the application.

Founder’s Scholarship

Any incoming freshman student who completes the La Salle application will be considered. Candidates are selected based on GPA, standardized test scores, and quality of curriculum.
