The demand for professionals in the learning and training industries locally and nationally is significant In a recent news release, The American Society for Training and Development (ASTD, http://www.astd.org/) lists training and development managers as one of the 25 great careers for the years ahead.

Companies hire under many titles for these types of positions, including Instructional Designers, Instructional Developers, E-learning Specialists, Corporate Trainers, Project Managers, and Instructional Technologists, to name but a few. A demand exists in the market nationally and locally for instructional designers and for those trained in creating and delivering educational content for a corporate environment. These companies represent a wide-range of businesses in the U.S. including financial, telecommunications, energy, technology, pharmaceutical, insurance, banking, legal, and telecommunications industries.

La Salle’s program in Instructional Technology Management aims to provide you with the skills and background knowledge needed to train the looming workforce in, training and particularly through e-learning and computer-based initiatives. The program is offered 100 percent online with optional face to face meetings and activities throughout the year. Courses will meet both asynchronously, using discussion boards, blogs, and journals, and synchronously, using programs that allow real-time chat and video or audio web conferencing to help you stay connected with your instructors and classmates.

The M.S. in Instructional Technology Management program is accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
