Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance

For eligible employees, La Salle University pays the premium for group life insurance through Aetna in the amount of one time your annual salary rounded up to the nearest thousand. Coverage is available the first of the month following date of hire.

Long-Term Disability Insurance

After one year of full-time service employees are eligible for Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage through Aetna. This benefit is paid for entirely by the University. The benefit pays 60% of your pay not to exceed $8,000 per month as well as a seven percent annuity benefit.

Voluntary Additional Life Insurance

Eligible employees have the option to purchase additional life insurance through Aetna for themselves, their spouse, or dependent children through a post-tax payroll deduction.  Premiums are based on your age and the coverage amount that you select.

Voluntary Short-Term Disability Insurance

Eligible employees have the option to purchase short-term disability insurance through Aetna for themselves through a post-tax payroll deduction.  Premiums are based on your age and average weekly income.
