New Hire Packet
We recommend printing and completing the New Hire Packet before visiting our office. Please download the New Hire Packet here:
Original Forms of ID
Federal regulations require La Salle University to verify your identity and employment eligibility by completing an I-9 form, included in the new hire packet.
You will need to bring the proper identification with you on or before your first day of work to complete the I-9. Below are the most commonly presented forms of ID:
Original, unexpired U.S. Passport OR
Original Social Security Card PLUS a photo ID such as an unexpired driver’s license or student ID card OR
Original or certified copy of a state Birth Certificate (note: a “Birth Registration Notice” or a certificate issued by the hospital is not an official birth certificate) PLUS a photo ID such as an unexpired driver’s license or student ID card.
The documents above are not the only types of identification that may fulfill the requirement; please see the complete list of acceptable documents on page 13 of the New Hire Packet for additional information. Foreign students or other non-citizen employees may have different requirements, so please review the form, and contact our office with any questions. Please keep in mind that copied or faxed documents are NOT accepted. Complete instructions for the I-9 form are available on page 14 of the new hire packet.
Voided Check or Bank Account Information
La Salle University requires all new employees to sign-up for direct deposit. You will need to provide an ABA routing number and account number for at least one bank account. This information is on your checks if you have a checking account and is also available from your bank.
The Human Resources Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays). Human Resources is located on main campus, on the lower level of the Lawrence Administration Building.
Students who have been awarded Federal Work Study should have received work study forms by email from the Student Financial Services office. You may only use your work study in one department. Your supervisor should complete the forms, and you should bring these completed forms to our office with your New Hire Packet.
Budget student workers need to print out the Student Budget Form and collect the necessary signatures. It should be completed first by your supervisor, then Student Financial Services and, if required, your area Vice-President’s office. Please bring this completed form with signatures to our office with your New Hire Packet.
Faculty and staff hiring information will be delivered directly to our office from your Dean and/or supervisor (please confirm in advance that this information has been sent).
