Ascend, La Salle’s 2023-2028 strategic plan, is helping set the University up for institutional success.

A message from the Office of the President

Exciting things are happening at La Salle University.

We recently launched our strategic plan, Ascend, that will guide us through to 2028. This plan’s six pillars, which you will read about in this edition of La Salle Magazine, will help us achieve our goal of being a leading Lasallian Catholic educational institution.

The University was recognized as a top performer and saw significant increases in best value and social mobility among other rankings.

Students made themselves at home during Move-In Weekend, beginning Aug. 24, 2023. Over 800 students settled into the University’s residence halls.

From student to state government, this La Salle alumnus served classmates and now Pennsylvanians.

Paul, ’00 and Maura Thompson, ’01, MBA ’03, are utilizing their La Salle educations overseas.

La Salle’s Early Achievement Program (LEAP) gives high school students the opportunity to take college courses before becoming a full-time undergraduate student. 

Faculty and Staff Focus

The organization’s president, Luisa Ossa, Ph.D., is a Spanish professor and director of the Black Studies minor at the University.  

The Stanford study ranked the academics based on research citation metrics.

La Salle’s School of Nursing and Health Sciences launched its own Post BSN to DNP Doctor of Nursing Practice Anesthesia program in early 2024.


The La Salle School of Business Accounting Analytics Lab gives students a new landscape for hands-on learning.
