Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC)
La Salle University is a participating member of Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC). A consortium of 1,800 colleges and universities dedicated to providing educational opportunities for service members and their families.
Recognizing the problems faced by military students whose jobs require frequent moves, SOC member schools work with these students to obtain college degrees rather than just accumulate course credit by:
- Minimizing loss of credit and avoiding duplication of course work
- Awarding credit for military experience
- Awarding credit for tests such as CLEP, ECE, and DANTES national testing programs
