Thanks to a generous $1 million gift from Pauline Scalvino, ‘87, chair of La Salle University’s Board of Trustees, Explorers in need of financial support will have assistance completing their education.

Ballisty spent 40 years as an adjunct faculty member with the Education and Philosophy Programs, inspiring many students and colleagues throughout.  

The event, taking place on April 8 at 5 p.m., will feature student art inspired by public health issues. The evening will include a panel discussion with professionals from both the art and public health fields. 

Joe Ryan, ‘69, Tom Filer, ‘78, and Tom Bonk, ‘84, will be inducted into the Philadelphia City All Stars Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in April.

The $40,000 grant will be used to reframe the conversation around sexual violence and help keep the campus community safe.

William J. Burns, '78, is widely regarded as one of the most distinguished and respected American statesmen of the last century, having served six presidents of both parties.

The funding will be used to upgrade lighting throughout the museum, helping to preserve the artwork and enhance the visitor experience.

Over the course of her 26-year career as a Professor in the English Department at La Salle University, Pidge had a profound influence on the lives of countless students and her many colleagues.

Amy Fadool, NBC Sports Philadelphia sports anchor, reporter, and host, Lara Price, Philadelphia 76ers chief operations officer, and Renee Washington, ‘14, NBC Sports anchor and ESPN reporter and analyst joined La Salle University former Men’s Basketball head coach, Fran Dunphy, ‘70, and the Business of Sports Club for a panel discussion moderated by Mike Sielski, ‘97, award-winning author and columnist.

The program, formerly Integrated Science Business Technology (ISBT), offers students an interdisciplinary education covering life science, technology development, and business topics.
